After school care is a service provided to families enrolled in John L. Coble Elementary School. Participation in the after school care program is considered a privilege.
Charge: $10.00 per day upon use of the aftercare services. Parents agree to pay $10 per day per student. Attendance in the program is taken 15 minutes following dismissal.
If a student’s account becomes past due, the student may not attend the program, and parents must make other arrangements for after school care.
Aftercare payments must be made online through Parent Square, and weekly invoices are sent to parents each Wednesday detailing days used and monies remaining in the account.
The hours of the program are from the time school ends until 5:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 4:30 pm on Friday on the days that school is in session. Attendance will be taken 15 minutes after school dismissal, Monday through Friday, and the student’s account will be charged the full amount no matter the portion of the time the child remains in supervision.
Students not enrolled in aftercare are not allowed to join the aftercare school program.
The after school care program is supervised by a designated adult, and the program’s needs take precedence during this time period. Individuals, families, and students not enrolled in the program may be asked to leave campus so that appropriate supervision is maintained.
AFTER SCHOOL CARE BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS &
DISMISSAL PROCEDURES
The same behavior expectations apply in aftercare as during the regular school day. All policies in the student handbook apply to aftercare. Inappropriate behavior may result in your student’s suspension or withdrawal from the program.
To ensure the safety and security of all students in aftercare, if an emergency occurs that threatens the welfare of a student, a school official will contact the Gordon County Emergency System.
If school closes for inclement weather or any other reason, aftercare will close also.
For the protection of your student, only persons designated on the registration form will be allowed to pick up your student.
Identification will be required. Each student must be signed out at the aftercare clipboard every day.
Students may be suspended or withdrawn from the aftercare program for the following reasons:
a. Three late pick ups
b. Nonpayment or late payment of tuition & fees
c. Discipline problems
d. Principal’s discretion
