Coble Elementary dismissed at noon Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2012 for Thanksgiving break. While our students, staff and teachers are going various places for the holiday, our thoughts are united in wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving.

Some of our students are traveling on cruises – some visiting Mexico, others the Bahamas. Others students will travel to such places as Pigeon Forge, TN, Pennsylvania, Memphis, TN, Chattanooga and Atlanta. Many will be staying in the Calhoun area to enjoy the holiday with friends and family. One student reported they are expecting at least 30 people to share Thanksgiving lunch at their home.

As for staff and teachers, their plans are as diverse as the student’s plans. Two will be headed to South Carolina, although not the same town, to visit with family members. One staff member is headed to Pigeon Forge, TN while another is visiting family in the St. Louis, MO area. Three teachers will be spending time with family in the Collegedale/Ringgold area. Florida to visit grandchildren is the destination of one teacher while two others will be staying in Calhoun with family filling their homes with love and laughter.

Regardless of where Thanksgiving finds you and yours – our wish is that each be blessed with a happy Thanksgiving and memories to last a lifetime.
