News September 5, 2008 What a great week we have had! The students constanly amaze me with their knowledge, humor and desire to learn. September 8 - 12 will find the 4th graders reviewing addition and subtraction. Grades 5 and 6 will continue learning how our great country began. They will take open book tests with a friend over the material we have learned in the past three chapters. Grades 7 and 8 will finish Bible Unit 1 and take an open book test over chapters 1 - 5. As always, they will have a memory verse test on Friday. Their memory verse for the week will be Gal. 5:22 - 23. Ask your 7th or 8th grader how they earn extra points on their weekly memory verse tests. For Geography, they will be studying parts of Asia. I will not be here for the week of Sept. 8 - 12. My husband has meetings all week in San Francisco and Eric and I will be traveling there with him for the week. While there I will be taking in as much history as possible. I am looking forward to a trip to Alcatraz and learning more about that important part of our U.S. history. Should you need to reach me next week, I will have my cell phone with me and have access to internet. May God bless you all. Thank you for sharing your child with me. They are each a ray of sunlight in my life. Mrs. Claus |
