Dear Parents,
Thank you for entrusting me with your most precious children. I have truly been blessed this year with a delightful group. We have had a wonderful week learning all our classroom routines and studying about colors, shapes, and careers. The focus for the month is good citizenship. We will look at community helpers and try to build community in our classroom through worships and Social Studies activities.
Our hot lunch program, which is run by volunteers, begins Monday. Please send an order form and money for the week if possible on Monday in a zippered pouch of your child’s backpack. If you would be interested in volunteering to help with the program, please contact the office. Some days the menu is not a complete meal, so additional items should be sent to make it completely nutritious. Ice cream ($1.00) and Popsicles ($.50) will be sold on Fridays by the 8th graders. Please have your child give this money separately to me on Friday, not to be included with the lunch money. Thanks.
Please save General Mills box tops (worth $.10 each) and turn in to the office. When you shop at Office Depot, tell the cashier to give Coble the % bonus for schools. These little things can add up to big benefits for our school.
Calendar Changes:
Elementary Strings Festival has been changed to January 27 & 28.
The last day of school is May 20, 2011 with a noon dismissal.
